Ballymultimber Cottages was built sometime in the late 1700s. It has been in our family for a number of years and as heritage is so very important to us, we did not want the cottage to go to ruin.
Our wish is to let our children and their children retain a piece of history which, in many areas of our country, has been destroyed.
We therefore decided to restore and renovate. We have renovated the barns and outhouses and restored the thatched cottage.
Our cottages are set on the foothills of the majestic Binevenagh mountain, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We are only 4 miles from the award winning Benone beach, on the Atlantic ocean. A short drive from world class golf courses, salmon rivers, the Giant’s Causeway and Game of Thrones film locations.
Binevenagh Mountain offers panoramic views from the summit that stretch for miles. On a good day the north coast is visible, as is Scotland and if the conditions are right gliders from Ulster Gliding Club will fill the skies above.
Benone Strand forms part of one of Ireland’s longest beaches. A Blue Flag beach, it is popular throughout the year for a variety of outdoor activities and events with great views along the North Coast, to Inishowen in Donegal and to Scotland.
Why not experience the Giant’s Causeway for yourself? Visit the world-famous basalt columns with one of our knowledgeable tour guides, or pick up an audio guide and go at your own pace. Climb the Shepherd’s Steps and hike along the cliff-top trail to get a bird’s eye view of the beautiful causeway coast.
We are perfectly positioned for visiting various Game of Thrones® filming locations in and around along the North Coast of Ireland. We are also close to the famous Dark Hedges.
